Sony is done. So done. Microsoft’s strategy is now self-evident. Total global domination of all life on planet earth. No just kidding.
That’s not that far from reality though judging by some key announcements at CES this week and some information that’s been public for a while:
a) Live Everywhere – The XBox Live services will be accessible from non-XBox devices. You’ll be able to play XBox games on a PC and play them multi-player with others who’re on an XBox. Certain major titles will be playable from a PC, …

Last year I won an Xbox in a competition [LINK]. It arrived a few months later, then sat in it’s box, un-opened whilst I worked on various things. My bro-in-law gave me Gears of War[LINK] for Christmas 2006 so that was reason enough to finally hook up the machine itself.
GoW has quickly become the flagship game for the 360 and showcases many of its advanced features (1080i, detailed graphics, XBox Live and so on).  You might say GoW is the new Halo (until Halo 3[LINK] and Lost Planet [LINK] …

A while back I entered the Amazon Web Services Developer Contest with Baebo.
Well the winners have been announced and I can officially say that Baebo won an honorable mention despite it’s abismal graphic design.

Seems like the last three weeks have been a complete blur. We just came back from Puerto Rico. It was fun but I wouldn’t go back. We stayed at the Wyndham El Conquistadore. They screwed up our reservation but sorted it out after much heckling. It was nice but we payed far too much for what was delivered.
I’m back on the Perricone tip these days, eating all sorts of weird stuff including Flax Seed Oil, Omega 3, Salmon, Beans, Lentils, Spinach and Sprouts. Enough to make a grown man cry …

Microsoft have issued a recall of Xbox power cords for units manufactured before 2003. No big deal, I just went to http://www.xbox.com, typed in the serial number and mfg. date and a new cord is on it’s way.
Seems the problem was only if you left the xbox turned on for long periods of time when not in use. Not the smartest thing to do with anything electrical really.
Syd’ had great fun with her cake and thanks to all who sent presents. New pics are up of a very …

Intel (the chip maker) is working hard on WiMax which’ll probably come out sometime next year. We’ve already seen wifi access at coffee shops and bookstores but soon internet access will be everywhere.
WiMax operates as a wireless last-mile internet connection, covering a max range of 30 miles but will probably end up around 3-5 miles range. No more cable modems, no more DSL or phone line connections. That stuff will become obsolete.
Thinking ahead that means my Pocket PC will have access, my xBox won’t need a wire, nor …

Within each of us, there are 2 sides, which will you choose?
Thus starts the E3 video preview of Fable, the closest thing to Zelda on the xBox. The 2004 Electronic Entertainment Exposition or E3 is going on this week. This is when video game companies announce their next big thing and typically release some form of teaser video.
Big games I’m looking forward to are Fable, now switched to an Autumn release date. Here’s the latest preview. Hopefully this is the last date slip for Big Blue Box.
Also much anticipated …
