The New Steve McQueen?

David Letterman made a comment a while back that Obama is cool, that he’s the 21st century Steve McQueen. He’s not far off here, especially compared to the last 200 years of presidents.
Take for example this iconic portrait taken during the campaigns. When McCain was canceling due to inclement weather, Obama was sporting a leather jacket in the snow and rallying voters. Now he’s playing basketball in the whitehouse? C’mon, who’s cooler than Obama?

Obama Does the RIGHT Thing

Yesterday Obama lifted the 8 year ban on stem cell research imposed by the moronic conservative Bush administration [LINK].
Thank goodness we finally have someone with a brain who can discuss and understand the issues at a macro level.

Didn’t take long for a Sarah Palin random quote generator to appear [LINK]. It actually does a pretty good job. See if you can tell the difference:

"And as Ronald Reagan believed that being the beacon of light — they want freedom."
"Senator McCain also showed great appreciation for what America whether that is part of the solution or not — that’s more than a lot of other senators and representatives did for us."
"We’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as competitive, scary thing, but one in five jobs being …

If you haven’t already seen it, checkout Pailin’s interview from last week with Katie Couric [LINK].
This image just about sums it up.

If she weren’t so full of herself I might almost feel bad for her. It’s not like Couric’s playing hardball and hitting her with tough questions. These are basic things which she should have no problem answering. I could parrot back the stock answers she’s giving. Shaping up to be an interesting October/Nov.
