Currently reading Origins by Degrassi and Goldsmith. This is a book about the origins of the universe basically since the big bang until today. You may have spotted the PBS special by the same name. The book goes into much more detail than the TV show which helps fill in some of the blanks. So far it’s a good read for a non-physicist. I’m about mid-way through, learning all about gravity, dark matter and Einsteins’ equations. Overall I’d give it a thumbs up if you’re looking for a relatively (pardon the pun) short explanation of where every single atomic and sub atomic particle of your body came from.
